Almost doing what OutQ use to do musically.
How come no one ever complains about the musical stereotyping of LGBT people? Mindless dance tunes, campy ballads, '70s glam ... surely one's musical taste, or lack of same, isn't predetermined by one's sexuality! Does Cohen, whose name is attached to this channel, actually listen to that stuff exclusively?
Nowhere in this thread or on the link did anyone mention channel 102.
What is wrong with 102?
It wasn't mentioned by number, but the first paragraph of the story says that the programming would be "taking over" Radio Andy. That's Channel 102.
There use to be a gay station on sirius that played club type music and had mostly gay hosts I don’t quite remember what channel it was though don’t think it was out q.
The HD radio subchannels (Pride, Channel Q) near me sound like your typical CHR/hot AC station with some more EDM mixed in. If not for the promos, and very few talk shows, it would be hard to know these as "LGBT music" stations.
