Bob Lawrence Resigns As Saga VP/Programming

I wonder if he got tired of dealing with the CEO.

Ed Christian is perhaps the most product oriented CEO in the industry, with an "it's easier to sell if it is highly rated" program philosophy.

I can't think of a more programming oriented head of a significant group today.

I don't want to get into a pi**ing match, but have you ever worked for the guy? Either way, I already have my opinion, and nothing will change it.

I have not worked with him, but have been on panels, in groups, etc. where we both participated.

As a former group owner myself, I have had occasion to need to "discipline" team members who did not want to do things as I directed. One thing is to always listen to the views of others, but when the owner or manager makes a decision, the rest of the team has to follow orders.

Perhaps you disagreed with management decisions. Perhaps it was not your job to do so.

As cold as it sounds, any staff member who consistently objected and failed to do as instructed got a one-way ticket out of the door.

Being diplomatic, maybe we can talk again, after you've worked for him.
