I still find it interesting that a 'shopping service' was scheduled at 9am weekdays on a CBS affiliate in 1987, in a mid-sized market. Unless it was some type of local program where items were sold, I have no idea why they would run Home Shopping Club for an hour. Lack of syndicated programming I guess but that still puzzles me.
And Super Password didn't get cleared at all in Central Indiana, not even on an indie.

There was an hour-long shop-at-home syndicated show at the time called ValueTelevision, hosted by Alex Trebek and Meredith MacRae. It aired for a few months in early 1987 and was distributed by Lorimar.

Alex Trebek hosting a shopping show NOT on QVC or HSC, but for local syndication. I think I've seen it all now.

Sorry. Ch 59 had Silver Spoons at 5pm. And ch 49 had Mister Rogers.

I think Super Password did air some in the Spring/Summer when Indiana was on Eastern Standard Time (technically Central Daylight Time). I know WTWO aired it sometimes at 11:00 AM.

I guess it never bothered ABC or NBC that many East Coast stations pre-empted their Noon offerings for news with many ABC stations airing Ryan's Hope at 11:30 AM or not at all, just as NBC's Super Password didn't air in many markets. However, by the end of the decade in 1989, NBC had two feeds of Generations at Noon or 12:30 ET. In 1991, ABC did the same with Loving at Noon or 12:30.
