'An Early Frost.' (1985) A TV-movie in the tradition of 'That Certain Summer.' That 1972 film, starring Hal Holbrook and Martin Sheen, was TV's first frank and compassionate treatment of homosexuality. 'An Early Frost' is the first TV-movie to dramatize the plight of a homosexual man stricken with AIDS. And it does so with intelligence and guts. The victim here is a bright, likable young lawyer named Michael Pierson (Aidan Quinn), whose physical ordeal is only part of the problem. Most of the movie focuses on the reactions of Michael's parents, who didn't know he's gay, and on Michael's own psychological trauma, particulary his anguish at being treated like a pariah. Directed by John Erman, an Emmy winner for 1983's 'Who Will Love My Children?' Ben Gazara, Gena Rowlands, Sylvia Sidney.

CBUFT was never included in western WA TV Guides just because no one ever watched it. And the UHF 26 transmitter wasn't as strong as the VHF 2, nor were they on cable anywhere.

Nice that the Canadian channels all had Veterans Day programming. Odd to see both "Dynasty" and "Dallas" in reruns already, or were these indie stations airing episodes pre-empted by the network affiliates?
And why on earth was KVOS still a CBS affiliate? Only three CBS shows are on the station, all of them daytime episodes.

Dallas entered syndication in September 1984, Dynasty did the same in September 1985.

Ah, that's right. Thanks.
I have a Western WA TV Guide from June 1986 (need to post a listing soon.) KCPQ had moved Break the Bank to 8:30AM replacing Bewitched by that time. I guess once they learned of the cancellation it went to an earlier timeslot to burn off. It's interesting to see KCPQ's schedules in the 1980s, with no children's shows and barely any sitcoms.

CBC French wasn't listed in many TV listings, even along the border. The only places I can think of are Detroit (the Detroit papers had CBEFT in its listings, but it never had cable carriage on the American side of the river) or in northern New England (where CBFT and CKSH still have some cable carriage)
