KAMP Unveils New Morning Mess

Seacrest is mostly lifesyle and celebrities, not local politicians and events. Most of the Seacrest show is not done live; it is made up of workparts and pieces that are assembled... and also used in many markets outside of LA.

I was wondering how that worked. What does KIIS air in the 6 AM hour while Ryan is doing a live TV show in New York?

There were weeks when Ryan only goes to the studio once in pre-pandemic days. Now, it's all done remotely and the show is made up of work parts. Seacrest does not spend 20-some hours a week in the radio studio.

A brick wall is made up of individual bricks cemented together. Think of Ryan's "bits" as bricks. A skilled production staff can be considered the masons. Together, they assemble the show. Ryan does not put together the show... he makes the bricks.

That is also how most podcasts are produced. I record and produce a podcast, featuring a prominent media personality who is very pressed for time. We will typically record interviews at various times throughout the month and put them in the can. We produce bits and conversations that we may not run for a few weeks from the recording.

Most people don't care or seem to notice.
