They preempted that for this?

Looks like KDVR FOX 31 Denver is only carrying the RNC on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. The King's Speech will air in full on Monday, and Prodigal Son (repeat) will air at 8:00 Mountain on Tuesday as normal.

For Wednesday, the second of two MasterChef repeats is being delayed to 10:35 PM, and the 10:35P-1:00A lineup of Seinfield/Seinfield/Friends/TMZ/Access Hollywood slides back an hour, with the latter two pre-empting replays of the 9:00 and 9:30 PM newscasts, though the 10:00 replay at 2:00 AM remains.

For Thursday, KDVR will air the RNC at 8:00 Mountain, the hour that is normally used for airing Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune on MLB Thursdays, bumped from 6:00 (though the most they ever get is half of Wheel due to overrun). For that night, J! and Wheel will instead air at 1:05 and 1:35 AM, again replacing two news replays (I believe these were also their slots during TNF days last year). Wonder which broadcast they will prioritize if MLB runs past 10E/8M.

ABC and CBS have interrupted programming this morning to carry the nomination of Trump at the RNC, and his comments afterward. WMC NBC 5 in Memphis and WNBJ NBC 39 in Jackson, TN stayed with their syndicated programming so I don't know if NBC did the same thing. The only thing that I cared about seeing was local news on WBBJ ABC 7 in Jackson, but I think it was unnecessary to do this. Did this happen with Biden last week?

Clippit shows that for Philly, KYW CBS 3 did cut in around 12:37 PM Eastern with a Special Report (during The Young and the Restless), then signed off around 1:04, returning to Y&R. WPVI ABC 6 and WCAU NBC 10 stuck with their newscasts, and WTXF FOX 29 stuck with their regular programming (25 Words or Less and local show The Q).

Because of RNC, CBS primetime starts at 6:00 PM tonight in the Mountain Time Zone with the two-hour season premiere of Love Island, airing in sync with the East Coast. Starting it at the usual 7:00 would result in conflict with RNC. Zap2It lists some markets splitting it into two parts, with the first half from 7-8 and the second half from 9-10 after RNC. However, I checked several Mountain CBS's and all of them are airing Love Island as of 6:00. Most if not all stations are moving 6:00 hour programming to the 9:00 hour. KMVT in Twin Falls normally has a newscast at 6:00, but 9:00 will be local agriculture special titled "Ag Day", followed by Wheel of Fortune at 9:30 (bumped from 6:30 of course).

Night 1 of RNC ended on time, but Night 2 overran to 11:12 Eastern.

Of the West Coast stations that schedule Wheel of Fortune for 10:00 and Jeopardy! for 10:30, the only one that started WOF from the beginning instead of JIP'ing it was KNDO NBC 23 in Yakima, WA. Likewise, almost all of the stations that schedule Jeopardy! for 10:00 started it from the beginning and JIP'd Wheel at 10:43-ish halfway through the game. This also affected KOMO ABC 4 in Seattle, which airs Wheel first, but is airing Seattle episodes this week (except Wednesday), episodes that they sponsored and feature Seattle locals as contestants; the show still got JIP'd.

I really don't get the logic in ABC delaying their primetime lineup when it started with two repeats of Modern Family, instead of just JIP'ing the first one. Usually on Christmas, they schedule a rerun of blackish or some other sitcom after NBA and they JIP it if it runs long. NBC had a new AGT, I believe. CBS had an NCIS repeat, which was also started from the beginning; KLAS in Las Vegas was still showing Jeopardy! at 10:30 and it wasn't even close to the end of the game yet.

This Saturday here in Mankato Jeopardy gets moved from KMNF-LD1 (NBC) normally seen at 6pm over to sister station KEYC CBS at noon due to NASCAR racing on NBC

RNC Night 3: Pence began speaking a little after 10:30 ET, but the networks did not sign off until about 11:20 since he was joined by the First Couple on stage after he was done.

And the Saturday after that (Labor Day Weekend), due to the Kentucky Derby followed immediately by NHL, it will air on KEYC-DT2 FOX at 5:30 PM, preceding the usual two Family Feuds (side note: apparently KEYC's stations only carry Extra on weekends?).

Speaking of Labor Day Weekend, many ABC affiliates originally had College Football listed to start that day. From what I remember my local grid showing for WABC, there was a 30-minute gap at 7:00 PM between the second and third games (compared to no gap at all in the 2019 season, and a 1-hour gap from 7-8 in 2018), listed as "To Be Announced". The 9/5 reruns for Jeopardy! and Wheel were not listed at all on WABC a few days ago, but they are there now, along with all the usual programming. They are not listed for 9/12 or 9/19, however, so CF will probably start then. I assume WABC will fill that 7:00 gap with local news, if the scheduling stays that way.

I dont usually post things that far due to the obvious changes that can happen. KEYC-DT2 (FOX) will usually show 2 FF reruns if there is nothing else to be shown. (its my market so I know what is shown) ;)

KMNF-LD1 NBC has Extra at 5pm weekdays (Gray doesnt use KMNF for any Id'ing exept for FCC requirements. They call all 4 of their stations KEYC (network)). Even the promo for Drew Barrymore's talk show it says "KEYC NBC at 11am, KEYC FOX at 4pm)

Both of Fox’s baseball games got cancelled tonight (Phillies at Nats and. A’s at Rangers) so will be interesting to see what the network airs in baseball’s place tonight.

“United We Fall” and “The Goldbergs”will be airing at 1:37 and 2:07 am that night in place of the Wendy Williams repeat. Bad timing for United We Fall fans, as if the show doesn’t return, it will be the final episode.

The Fan Fest special actually runs two hours, from 7-9. Inside Edition and Entertainment Tonight are airing on WAXN from 8-9, interestingly enough, in reverse order. ET at 8, Inside Edition at 8:30, replacing two episodes of Family Feud.
I record "Jeopardy" on WFMY manually because that's the only way to get it to record once I recorded it on WCNC. That's in case NBC News goes over or something. Turns out the same Panthers special from WSOC was also on WFMY. "Jeopardy" was a rerun anyway. I don't know what happened to WFMY's CBS programming because I didn't find out until everything was over. I watched "United We Fall" on WXLV.

Big Brother aired at 1:37 am after the Late Late Show, followed by Wheel and Jeopardy. WheelRob will be happy to know that yes, they did air Wheel in addition to Jeopardy overnight. According to TitanTV.

Nexstar has been cranking out the specials lately. All New York State markets with Nexstar-owned stations aired a half-hour special titled "Destination NY" tonight at 7:00 PM Eastern. The special will air again (either as a repeat or a second installment) this Saturday at the same time. The following stations are pre-empting the following programming. Of course, with this special slotted for 7:00 PM in the Eastern Time Zone, it's no surprise which show is the most affected.

Plattsburgh/WVNY ABC 22: Only airing Wednesday's special, replacing local news. Sticking with the hour-long weekend edition of Extra on Saturday.

Watertown/WWTI ABC 50: The Big Bang Theory - Pre-empted entirely both days. Also, both Destination NY specials are airing on the .2 CW+ subchannel, Wednesday at 7:30 PM (pre-empting Family Guy), and Saturday at 6:30 PM (pre-empting Bob's Burgers).

Elmira/WETM NBC 18: Jeopardy! - Wednesday episode moves to 18.2 replacing a repeat of 18.1's 6:00 news, Saturday episode pre-empted entirely.

Utica/WUTR ABC 20: Entertainment Tonight - Wednesday episode bumped to 1:07 AM (though ET repeats on sister WFXV FOX 33 the following weekday at noon), ET Weekend on Saturday moves earlier to 5:30 PM, both makegoods replacing Paid Programming, one of which moves to Saturday at 7:30 to fill the gap.

Syracuse/WSYR ABC 9: Entertainment Tonight - Pre-empted entirely. There is no encore for the weekday airings, but there is for the weekend ones Mondays at 2:05 AM. Since ET Weekend is an hour but the special is only half an hour, Saturday at 7:30 is filled with an infomercial.

Buffalo/WIVB CBS 4: Wheel of Fortune - moves to WNLO CW 23 both days, replacing Inside Edition on Wednesday (it repeats regardless at 12:30 AM) and Pawn Stars on Saturday.

Albany/WTEN ABC 10: Wheel of Fortune - Wednesday episode bumped to 1:05 AM, Saturday episode bumped to 2:37 AM, both replacing Paid Programming. During past pre-emptions, WOF moved to WXXA FOX 23. They didn't say why this wouldn't be the case this time, but I bet it's because Jeopardy! wouldn't be able to move with it since it's not affected this time.

Rochester/WROC CBS 8: Wheel of Fortune - Wednesday episode bumped to 2:37 AM, Saturday episode bumped to 1:35 AM, both replacing Paid Programming.

Binghamton/WIVT ABC 34: Wheel of Fortune - Very interesting make-up method for this one. To make up for no WOF on Wednesday or Saturday, three episodes will air on Friday. Wednesday's episode at 5:00 PM, Saturday's episode a day early at 5:30 PM (these two airings replace The Dr. Oz Show), and Friday's episode at 7:00 PM as usual. Very rare for a station to air a weekend syndie run on a Friday. I do recall one incident about three years ago where WOF had to pull a repeat episode scheduled for a Friday and all stations aired the Saturday episode on both Friday and Saturday, which was weird but I guess there was no time for them to send a different episode for Friday.

The third installment of Destination NY aired this week, Wednesday and Saturday. Pre-emptions are the same as before but with the following differences:

- WVNY does in fact air the Saturday airing as well. Since it would cut Extra in a half, a special promoting the upcoming newscast "NewsNation" will air at 7:30. Extra Weekend repeats in late night regardless.
- WETM can't air it on Saturday because of NASCAR starting at 7:00, so the second airing moves to Friday at 5:30 PM, pre-empting a newscast.
- WROC is airing the Saturday one at 7:30 instead of 7:00, bumping Jeopardy! instead of Wheel. Wednesday's did air at 7:00.

Both of Fox’s baseball games got cancelled tonight (Phillies at Nats and. A’s at Rangers) so will be interesting to see what the network airs in baseball’s place tonight.

WSYT in Syracuse announced that Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! will air at their normal 7:00/7:30 times tonight, but they will also air at their makegood 5:30 and 6:00 PM slots. Odd. Guess there was no time to swap back in the regular shows for those slots (Hot Bench and Judy).

WPVI ABC 6 in Philly pre-empted Wheel of Fortune with some special about the automotive industry. Although Thursday's episode is listed on Saturday with Friday's ep on Friday, a graphic appeared on screen reading: "Wheel of Fortune - Tonight's Episode Broadcasting Tomorrow at 7:30 PM", so they will be delaying the Thu and Fri eps to Fri and Sat, with no Saturday ep this week (which, unusually, is more recent than most of the weekday episodes this week, instead of being older)

All of the Big Four in the Cedar Rapids, IA market aired a charity special for victims of the recent Midwest derecho, of which the area was one of the hardest hit. It aired Thursday night at 6:30 PM Central. The following shows were pre-empted:

KGAN CBS 2: Entertainment Tonight (repeats at 1:37 AM regardless)
KWWL NBC 7: Wheel of Fortune (possibly bumped to CW 7.2; special was not listed anywhere)
KCRG ABC 9: The Big Bang Theory (bumped to 12:07 AM, sliding back Dr. Oz and RightThisMinute x2 half an hour, with the Kelly & Ryan encore JIP'd halfway through)
KFXA FOX 28: Modern Family
