Me-TV FM? Online anywhere?

Someone posted a link to a Milwaukee station that uses the Me-FM playlist a couple of years ago, but I didn't bookmark it. Maybe someone else can repost?

I was hoping to actually hear the Chicago incarnation of ME-tv FM.....

That station has never streamed, and with the FCC finally closing the Franken-FM loophole, it may not even be a radio station much longer. IIRC, there was no difference in the music played in Chicago and Milwaukee, both ran on the same clock with market-appropriate announcements and ads inserted simultaneously.

That station has never streamed,

The big problem has been the expense, especially now with pre-1972 music being included in digital royalties. This station is primarily a marketing tool to publicize the TV channel. Not a traditional radio station. I think the Milwaukee station is owned by Entercom, so they pay the music royalties.

KXXP 104.5 White Salmon WA (MeTV FM Portland) streams on their website. It's a cool station that's for sure.

>>Actually, the Milwaukee oldies station, Fonz FM, is owned by the Milwaukee Radio Alliance>>

I love that, "Fonz-FM" in Milwaukee. Brilliant!

As always, I stand to be corrected, but I believe WMyx (99.1) is the HD-2 channel with the MeTV FM format. Last time I checked, it was streaming on Radio.com. If not, one of my favorite online streams, 2CH from Australia, has a similar music mix. Albeit with live jocks 24/7 hourly newscast and a slightly heavier commercial load.

As for WZTI, "The Fonz" is the latest in a long series of format changes on the at Milwaukee's 1290 dial spot. The 60s-70s oldies so far seems to have more staying power than the other recent attempts. No doubt thanks...,at least in part....to the two translators. Good thing they have those....I was trying to listen on a suburban Milwaukee SDR (online receiver) one nighght a couple of weeks ago, and "The Fonz" was getting clobbered on 1290 by WIRL from Peoria. WIRL is also oldies, so perhaps nobody notices!

It's nice to hear 60s music on commercial radio anywhere. Dare I mention 50s music?

Guess that means he's off of SiriusXM's '60s on 6 channel for good.

Yes, he left Sirius/XM about a month ago.

Some say that Sirius would not continue to pay as much, others say that Cousin Brucie did not want to do so many weekly hours.

In any case, Mr. Morrow is good friends with the new owner of WABC and this is a perfect fit for both.

I don't think WJMK 1250 Bridgeport, MI and their translator on 99.3 have an online stream. I also know that every time I've listened recently, the modulation on both the AM and the FM translator were quite low.

No online stream shown.
