Will Smith has announced that the reboot of Fresh Prince will air on Peacock.

CNN)The reboot of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" has come home.

Will Smith announced Tuesday on his YouTube Channel that the new series has been signed by Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service.
"We have just officially closed the deal with Peacock with an unprecedented two-season order from a pitch," Smith said in the video, which shows him on a virtual call with others including writer/director Morgan Cooper, whose viral video inspired the new series. "I've been in this business for 30 years, and that does not happen."
Cooper's four-minute spec trailer reimagines the comedy starring Smith, which ran on NBC from 1990 to 1996, as a drama. It debuted on YouTube in March 2019.

The Jane Lynch-hosted Weakest Link now will premiere at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 29; it had been set to bow the night before. The show will air in that slot for three weeks until moving to 10 p.m. Mondays starting October 19, following The Voice.

Co-produced by BBC Studios’ Los Angeles production arm and Universal Television Alternative Studio, the new version of the hybrid game show sees contestants answer general knowledge questions to bank prize money across multiple rounds. At the end of each round, the contestants vote out who they perceive to be the “Weakest Link” remaining. The original run of Weakest Link on NBC launched on April 16, 2001.

I get the impression that we will see more game and reality shows as long as new and returning regular series are delayed by the coronaviurus.

Naturally that will be part of the mix. They were already there, there just may be some more in the early part of this “season,” with ABC having held back a large portion of the game shows they had already produced, then getting a few more into production.

Fantasy Island to get a reboot on Fox in 2021.
They've already done it. Malcolm McDowell referred to himself as the man who wears the black suit, while Ricardo Montalban wore a white suit.

Now that Peter Dinklage is free, wonder if he'd play Tattoo? Now that I'd watch.
