WKOX 1430

So far a site at http://www.1430thelight.com and a facebook page but only the logo shows so far.

If the network link above (thelightradio dot net) is correct
the Programming page mentions gospel music including bluegrass; James Dobson and Chuck Swindoll (two well known preachers), programs on money, parenting etc
Apparently VT stations in Champlain Valley
(Bolton VT) and Upper Valley (Woodstock VT)

1430 WKOX is owned by The Epperson familys Delmarva Educational Broadcasting or whatever the name is... as far as i know it has nothing to do with the stations in Vermont etc. The Epperson family is long time radio people.. parts of their family own stations like WPAQ 740 in Mt Airy, NC and WBRF 98.1 Galax, VA. Those Eppersons and the ones who run Delmarva are also related to Stu epperson who started Salem.

From what I just heard, R&B-gospel..no commercials but a PSA (listener supported?)

I think WILD ran gospel R&B on Sundays years ago. "Boston's Ultimate Gospel Experience"

Heard it, adult contemp styled Spanish religion.
Runs commercials (one said Honey Nut Cheerios in English).Newscast at 5 pm.I did hear the ID of
the Memphis station plus an FM translator and an HD2 but no reference to WKOX..from what I
heard.

Must be what I'm hearing on 1430-AM at my location in Southington, Connecticut tonight. I heard very fast paced Spanish music and that was followed by what sounded like a preacher speaking in Spanish. Tonight they're very strong. In the past I've picked them up when they used to be Rumba 1430, but not as strong as they are tonight. Sounds like crap too - like the programming is being broadcast over a phone line.

Sadly, somehow that wouldn't surprise me if they were dialing it in sotospeak.
