Who else enjoys Christian Gangsta Rap?

It's funny I thought this was an Urban station because of the hip-hop they play evenings and nights, however it's a Christian rap station during those hours with Gospel music mornings and afternoons.
The FM is slightly distorted with the volume too high and has funny artifacts as if their transmitter's set up with second-hand gear, however the stream sounds nicer quality.
 
Now their transmitter is about to give way... I can tell because every second or two the station emits quick blasts of static. I'm very close to their site, and the static is more frequent today than a few days ago... I can tell it's the transmitter as I've tried it on multiple radios, and the station seems to be having problems keeping at full power.
Maybe if their engineer's reading he/she can service the transmitter for them, make the audio stereo, and fix the sound equipment.

Another thing, if this station has nothing to do with 98.5 KPPZ-LP I'll be surprised. Are there two Concrete Truths in Kansas City?

I know KPPZ doesn't say Concrete Truth as the owner, but they do have an FCC filing to change ownership to CONCRETE TRUTH LEARNING INSTITUTE. KCPZ has been owned by CONCRETE TRUTH COMMUNITY NETWORK since they started.
 
I heard Praise 95 all the way in Lenexa, KS. That's not the typical distance an LPFM will travel is it? Seems someone is operating with excessive power... Maybe that's why their transmitter is breaking. It's still making those static blasts as if not able to keep the excessive power on properly, LOL.
 
Are you sure it was Praise? There’s a translator at 95.3 that relays 1190, and it’s highly directional toward Shawnee and Lenexa.

I did once pick up KCPZ at the Leawood Town Center. I believe that was before the translator at 95.3 signed on, but, with it highly directional to the west, I shouldn’t have been able to hear it there regardless. KCPZ's signal would seem to be best around the Plaza, but hearing it in Mission Hills, Prairie Village, or Leawood wouldn’t be completely out of the question. Lenexa seems a stretch, though, unless the translator was off-air and you had a good radio.

Yeah, it was Praise 95. The ttranslator on 95.3 was off and KCPZ came in at that location as good as 107.9.

The LPFM on 98.5 didn't go nearly that far, and they're near each other. But whatever I'm not an engineer and don't have a meter to measure signals.
 
Praise 95 is having problems today. Their audio is stuttering as though their Internet doesn't have enough bandwidth to carry the sound. Both the Internet and the FM only air a few seconds of audio per minute, now.
 
Now the FM is just silence with the transmitter on, and the stream says "Radiologik - Broadcast" for artist and title. So they're using Radiologik on a Mac, thought Macs weren't supposed to break. Oh well...
 
They own 2 stations.

I just heard that the 2 LPFMs, are, in fact, owned by the same people. Looks like they're hiding out under 2 Concrete Truth organizations. Aren't LPFMs allicated 1 per person?
