Changes coming to 106.1??

I’m listening to Hum Fm on both 106.1 and 103.5. Are they planning to downgrade? We try arm or is 103.5 just something temporary till they find something to broadcast there? So

I’m hearing KIOC just fine today.

I was referring to K291CE, they’re are also broadcasting on 103.5. Can hear them clear in The Heights on 103.5, so I’m asking if they’re going to change completely to 103.5? Or are they just simulcasting till they find a client or something?

Another jumping Transalator. Originally
K247CP 97.3 own by Antonio Cesar Guel and his family (Sharai Guel,Ana Karen Guel,Maria C Guel. K247CP is now 103.5FM completely
annihilating KCYB-LP 103.5 fm. ELOHIM GROUP CORPORATION is not rebroadcasting KHPT FM.

Signal on 103.5 is rather poor, even in the general vicinity of the alleged transmitter site. Low audio as well. At Beltway 8 and 290 KCYB somewhat dominates, which is about the limit of the KCYB signal anyway. At least the revamped translator is not an overmodulated mess like the previous translator on 103.5.

The Hum FM programming could be filler, but we shall see.

Update: The 103.5 translator is running South Asian music, but no announcements or TOH ID, and it is not a simulcast of any of the other established South Asian broadcasters. Perhaps the same program source as what was airing on the now-defunct KCDE just before its demise?

I think Rehan is going to move his programming from 106.1 to 103.5. He is a master promoter, so he will give plenty of advance notice to his audience

Thread bump to update: The 103.5 translator is now running "Hum Music 103.5 FM, Houston's only all-day Bollywood music station" which would be a sister station to Hum FM 106.1. South Asian music, very little talk, although plenty of references to Rehan Siddiqi. Audio quality is quite good. TOH ID for K278DA and KHPT HD-3.

Heard this while driving from the downtown area to my place in Cy-Fair. KCYB takes over the frequency one I get to Beltway 8.
