They preempted that for this?

Meanwhile over on Fox, you have Giants at the Rams. That might be the ratings winner for the time period.

If CBS had the Cleveland vs Dallas game, they would have moved that to the later slot (Instead of Colts--Bears). Dallas is almost always in the late game(If they're not on Sunday Night or Monday Night). The markets that were scheduled to get New England vs KC, will likely get the Colts--Bears game now...

Game coverage maps have just been updated at 506Sports.com. Two-thirds of the county gets Bills-Raiders.

CBS must have bumped them up. They still moved the Colts--Bears, so they wanted a second game. The Bills and Raiders are very low profile nationally, so they can always change if it's a blowout...

Last night, WTOV NBC 9 in Steubenville, OH/Wheeling, WV aired another high school football game scheduled from 7:00-9:30 PM Eastern counting pregame. The game ran until 9:42. Jeopardy! was moved from 7:00 to 9:30, but was JIP'd halfway through. Wheel of Fortune at 7:30 and a two-hour repeat of American Ninja Warrior at 8:00 were pre-empted entirely.

CBS: the final College Football game's clock ran out at 6:59, but because of postgame BS'ing, CBS signed off at 7:14 PM Eastern. WCBS New York JIP'd ET at 7:17 during an interview with Kristin Cavallari. WBZ Boston JIP'd Wheel of Fortune during the break between Rounds 3 and 4.

FOX: The New York/Orlando MLS Soccer game only ran about 4-5 minutes over. WNYW New York had their 6:00 news slid back to 6:30-7:30, and a Giants show at 7:30 with TMZ Weekend pre-empted (though it also airs Sunday nights at midnight).

ABC: College Football signed off at 11:30, half an hour late. East Coast newscasts began at 11:33. KOMO in Seattle appears to have a 30-minute minimum for its 8:00 newscast listed for 8-9. Wheel of Fortune started around 9:02 from the beginning. KATU Portland did the same with Jeopardy! at 10:02, so the beginning of Wheel was cut off; it did not begin until the second Toss-Up puzzle.

Also, while KGO San Francisco aired Jeopardy! and Wheel overnight on Wednesday night/Thursday morning because of NBA Finals Game 1, they did not do so on Friday night after Game 2. Tamron Hall repeated at 3:00 AM as normal. Instead, Friday's episodes of Wheel and Jeopardy! aired respectively at 10:00 and 10:30 PM Saturday night (their normal CFB season Saturday time slots). Their Saturday episodes will air Sunday night at 9:30 and 10:00 PM, following the black-ish Election Special (which they're sliding to 8:30 PM or possibly later due to local news scheduled after NBA Finals Game 3 at 8:00). KABC is airing black-ish at 8:00 right after NBA, followed by Jeopardy! and Wheel Weekend at 9:00 and 9:30 (they normally air Saturday nights at 9 or 10, but were pre-empted by the LA County District Attorney Debate).

CBS wants to showcase the new Raiders stadium (first home game they get to broadcast) so that's why it gets 70% coverage

The New England vs Kansas City would have been the primary 4pm game going to 70 percent of the country. Bills vs Raiders was the B game.

Chicago is the #3 market and they shifted the Colts--Bears to that slot. Chicago will obviously get the Bears game, not Bills vs Raiders. Expect to see a lot of rescheduling due to COVID...

I'm fully aware of that.

Areas with the Indy/Chicago game are Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Georgia/North Florida, Houston, Toledo

tentatively the KC/New England game is Monday at 6:00 CDT with full nationwide CBS coverage

Patriots-Chiefs will kick off at 7:05 ET with full telecast on Monday night on CBS; Falcons-Packers kicks off at 8:50 et, per source.

Interesting. I doubt that Bills - Raiders would get full national coverage if they had been postponed. Or say Jacksonville vs Arizona. New England and Kansas City are recent Super Bowl winners and deliver high ratings...

If that happens, it will pre-empt local news, local access, and Big Brother. Perhaps also One Day At a Time.

most definitely One Day at a Time will be pre-empted since that is on at 8 & 8:30 CDT (game will still be in progress).
They'll just push it back a week

bet it would have. Again it would allow CBS to showcase the new Raiders stadium. Originally Tennessee & Pittsburgh were to get national coverage when it was first postponed...until more Titans players and coaches tested positive and then it got scrapped until week 8

CBS could care less about a new stadium with no fans.
That was no factor. If ratings are in decline (as some of the Anti BLM posters say) they would likely not show a regional game to a national audience on a Monday. Ratings must be OK after all...
