Merry Christmas!

Looks like WRVW has flipped to Holiday Music until the end of the year. Is this a sign of changes coming next year? Format? Name change?

Since you brought it up, when does Mix go ACATT?

I wonder, if there is no vaccine by December, whether Christmas will be "the same" as other years, including all Christmas music. If we continue in quarantine in some manner, stores won't decorate, people will not have Christmas gatherings for work or family, presents won't get wrapped. Does that mean that the appeal of all-Christmas music will change?

The real Christmas present was delivered by in numbers this week as Mix 92.9 took a major tumble. Fluke? Trend? Just the books hit wrong or the format caused it? What has Mix done on air to cause a change?
(Firepoint - other than no Escape...)

Grateful Ed from Hippie Radio told me on Facebook that the retired Bryan Sargent was the one who went all-out on "Escape" back when he was at 92.9. Any truth to that?

I do know for sure that there was a plan toward Bryan's retirement that Rupert was supposed to call in and tell him thank you for playing "Escape" a million times. It was quite a lot of plays over the decades. Song tested well forever.
Eventually it finally tested out, I think. Rupert, for what it is worth, is not only multi-talented, but a very nice person and was well up for the prank.

I remember their billboards with Celine Dion's photo on them; maybe they should have had Rupert's picture on them instead!
