WQBC 1420 AM is Now DWQBC

Hey all -

It appears as if WQBC 1420 AM in Vicksburg has had its authorization rescinded / surrendered:

The station has been off the air for the better part of a decade, as many well know.

Hey all -

That's a shame. That station dates back to the 1920's as one of the oldest stations in MS. WQBC in Utica "We Quote Better Cotton" It's a shame someone couldn't have gotten it back on the air with a wire antenna just to keep the license active. Someone just wasted money buying it and not even broadcasting.
