WNYPB Boswell To Retire


That would be an incredible job for someone with lengthy commercial station experience who understands public radio and TV's position in the changing media world. If the person has community service experience, like being on community boards and the like, they could likely adapt from ad sales to fund raising and really enjoy the sense of achievement in doing that.

The idea of being with a radio and TV operation that actually covers news and events and works to create useful programming is enticing.

If I had that kind of experience, I'd be updating my resume!

I know nothing about Canadian taxes and tax deductions, so I ask, "are donations by a Canadian taxpayer, individual or corporate, to an American non-profit radio station deductible against Canadian income taxes?

Short answer = yes. However, as with most things, there are some Revenue Canada conditions to be met.
