October monthly PPM's

WDAS continues to show their strength with another runaway month.

WIP seeing a nice bounce with the Eagles being back.

WHYY is the spoken word winner, beating out a solid KYW, and a rising (but low) WPHT. (Plus whatever small numbers Salem gets for WNTP, but they don't seem to subscribe).

The AC/Class Hits battle is TIGHT... with... BEN FM in the lead. But WBEN, WBEB, WISX, and WOGL are all within 0.5 of each other (with WISX and WBEB tied again).

WIOQ and WTDY both down. These, along with WBEB's down numbers... is it just bad CHR product right now, or is this a listening shift again that's hurting "At Work" listening?

WRFF- Number still off, but up slightly. Woody Show seems to have done some damage, but not catastrophic.

iHeart has two AMs with almost no listenership:

WDAS-AM (The Gambler) had a cume of 9,300. WTEL-AM (Black Information Network) only 1,100. Hard to get people to tune into a forgotten frequency if there's no advertising/promotional push to let people know they're there.

Without knowing the numbers per day part, there's no way to say how the syndicated show has affected the station with its listeners. For all you know, the show could be doing the same or better than its predecessor, or than the station's other locally hosted programming.

Nah, the axe one has to grind gives them special insights.

What is happening to B-101 it's ratings were great not too long ago. I guess there is not a whole lot of newer music right now

I was scanning the dial this weekend and came across a countdown show just in time to hear the host say that a song by The Weeknd (how fitting!) was entering its 17th week at No. 1! 17 weeks! The chart is even more sluggish than it was in the days when seven- to 10-week reigns became commonplace, what I like to call the Boyz II Men Age of Chart Sludge.

I think it's a combination of less "new" music coming from the CHR/Hot AC pipeline, leaving a somewhat more stale playlist, along with much less "at work" listening going on with people working from home or unemployed, throwing off their typical listening patterns.

Nah. Neither of the above. It is the new owner ruining everything that Jerry Lee did for 58 years at the station.

As mentioned before, it is the change to ignorant ownership from the industry-leading style of Jerry Lee.

The new owners destroyed the station in less than a year.

I mean... also yes. lol.

Didn't Entercom keep Jerry Lee on as a consultant when they bought the station? I thought he still had a hand in decisions.

The "consultant " agreement was to favor Jerry Lee in tax related issues.

They have essentially erased all the good things that Mr. Lee did and made the station into a dead man walking facility.

I can't think of any worse mistake in the last several years than this one, but coming from Entercom it is not at all surprising.
