On this day. October 30 2009 we did lose the great dance music station pulse 87 on 87.7 wnyz . This is station still streaming online at www.pulse87ny.com. Do you think so dance music ( EDM) return to NYC radio?

I discovered Pulse 87 when I was living in East Williamsburg in the spring of 2009. There was a clear line of sight between my residence and "that big blue building in Queens" from which Pulse 87 transmitted; therefore, I had very good reception of the station. Pulse 87's mix of music reminded me of BPM on XM. I enjoyed listening to the station on 87.7 FM. It was unfortunate that Pulse 87 did not last long on terrestrial radio in NYC. However, I am glad that Pulse 87 continues to provide great electronic dance music online.

Great

It would be nice if KTU really was an edm/dance station

It would not be nice for the owners who have the 6th highest billing FM station in the market. There is a strong economic reason why there are no major market full signal dance stations anywhere in the US.

I know that Pulse 87 had a sub stream The Original Hot 97 I listen to very often. But it don't exist anymore? Great music from the era when Hot 97 was a Freestyle/dance music station in NY.
