WNY FOR SALE:

The only Buffalo AM stations that would qualify as "huge signal" would be KB, WBEN, WGR, maybe 970, although it's very directional. Not likely any of those stations are on the block. A 1 kW AM is not consider a "huge signal." Could it be WXRL, which runs 5 kW-DA-D and 2.5 kW-DA-N. Neither pattern is great in Buffalo.

Maybe it's this one:

SELLER financing for an owner/ operator.
NDA required.

That's a FM translator in Rochester. Asking 650K not 350K. I can't disclose anything, but I'm 99% certain it's not what the OP is asking about.

You're saying *not* WLVL(?). If so, I agree... after all they'd not have to shop it with a third party. They would just use their own "Tradio", no? LOL

If I were the seller, I would be pretty pissed with this website. You have to subscribe to unlock the opportunity, until 2 weeks. If they want a station sold, they should make it as easy as possible for any potential buyer.

I have my feelings on what this could be. There is a Jazz station in Rochester that is a standalone FM, there is WYSL which is an AM with a good metro translator, there is WCJW which has many FM translators that cover the Rochester area. WCJW is an absolute outstanding operation, as is WYSL. They have great operators, great engineering, and they are survivors. Both owners I have great respect for, but it can't be easy to compete against Wall Street companies when your a bit outside the Rochester metro.

After reading the post, this is not an outside Buffalo station. It's something that gets into Rochester. That is why they are selling how good the market is financially, more than the station itself

Unless WCJW is hemmoraging/not making the good money we all think, i doubt it's them.

"FM full power commercial"

This would seem to take WYSL and its translator and WCJW and its 17 translators [/exaggeration] out of the running.

re: Buddy Shula

I am able to see both sides, as easy is a way to go -
make it readily available for a potential buyer...

on the other hand, a station employee finds out and
goes into the GM 's/ station owner's office
.... anything you care to share ?! lol

Asking for a friend?

Could it be WJZR-FM owned by Lee Rust, the son of Bill Rust - the guy who owned WHAM and a few other stations back in the 60s and 70s?

It may be wjzr. Sometimes for sales purposes, translators will be called “ full power “ fms JZR is a good guess, but from what I know, he wants way more than 650
