WABC adds Tony Orlando

It's interesting...I took a look into Tony Orlando's bio, and I saw something that looked pretty familiar:

"Tony Orlando was born Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis on April 3, 1944, the son of a Greek father and a Puerto Rican mother. He spent his earliest years in Hell's Kitchen, New York. In his teenage years, the family moved to Union City, New Jersey, and later Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey."

He and John Cat have Greek heritage and are about the same age.

Re:

WABC's programming isn't my cup of tea, but nonetheless, I recognize the fact new ownership has made all sorts of changes to give WABC much more of a "New York" sound.

For that - I salute them! Keep up the good work!

I heard him Saturday night. He was thrilled to be there, but , regretfully, sounds very old. It was hard to listen to.

Tony Orlando is 76, same age group as the two men running for President. He's old, but not that old by today's standards. For an "oldies" format, he is the demographic.

76 years old—Exactly the target audience advertisers are seeking! LOL!
