Jackson Ratings (Spring, 2020)

I recently saw these Nielsen Ratings online for Jackson. Although they're from Spring, 2020, it gives a view of what's going on with Jackson radio.

12+ Mon-Sun, 6a-12mid.

WYJJ-FM 97.7 Urban AC (Forever South Licenses) = 13.3
WFKX-FM 95.7 Urban AC (Southern Stone Communications) = 7.2
WJAK-AM 1460 Urban (Southern Stone Communications) = 7.2
WOGY-FM 104.1 Country (Forever South) = 7.2
WHHM-FM 107.7 AC (Southern Stone Communications) = 6.0
WHHG-FM 92.3 Classic Rock (Forever South) = 4.8
WWYN-FM 106.9 Country (Southern Stone Communications) = 2.4
WZDQ-FM 102.3 Rock (Southern Stone Communications) = 2.4
WHRK-FM 97.1 Urban Memphis (iHeartMedia) = 1.2 (Memphis)
WLLI-AM 1390 Classic Country (Forever South) = 1.2
WKNO-FM 91.1 News/Talk (Mid-South Public Communications) = N/A (Memphis)

WJAK-AM and WLLI-AM also have FM translators.

For what it's worth, here are all of the stations in Jackson:

88.1-FM FULL SERVICE WAFR (FM) WAMP
88.7-FM FULL SERVICE WIGH
89.3-FM TRANSLATOR W207CQ WAYW (FM)
90.1-FM FULL SERVICE WKNP
94.1-FM TRANSLATOR W231B WLLI (AM)
96.1-FM TRANSLATOR W241BV WJAK (AM)
96.9-FM TRANSLATOR W245AR WXKV (FM)
98.7-FM LPFM WLCD-LP
99.1-FM TRANSLATOR W256DK WJAK (AM)
101.5-FM FULL SERVICE WNWS-FM
103.1-FM FULL SERVICE WMXX-FM
103.5-FM TRANSLATOR W278CL WDXI (AM)
104.1-FM FULL SERVICE WOGY
106.3-FM TRANSLATOR W292CZ WZKV (FM)

530-AM WPOX587 (Travelers Information Station-TIS)
1310-AM WDXI (103.5) WDXI
1390-AM WLLI (101.9) WLLI
1460-AM WJAK (96.1)
1460 (AM) WJAK (99.1) WJAK (Not sure about this one; it's showing up around Milan)

So I take it that the translators figure into the ratings? Otherwise, I would question why AM stations were performing so well.

You'll hear "WJAK" mentioned once an hour on 1460 and 96.1. That's at the top of hour legal ID. Otherwise, it's branded as "Hot 96-1". This station is an example of AM on FM via translator (W241BV) that seems to be doing well.

There was also another translator on 100.1 that was supposed to be a translator for WAYW (WAY-FM), but it came on for a short period in late Summer, but it carried WIGH instead. But it has been off in recent months since 89.3 came on. Did 89.3 replace 100.1, or was 100.1 moved somewhere else?

I only see three stations on 100.1 FM in Tennessee: Dyersburg, Franklin and Chattanooga. With that said, I heard religious on 100.1 FM one night earlier this summer while in the Jackson area. Since I was trying to listen to Dyersburg at the time, I just figured it was skip from somewhere, and didn't think much about it.
