107.9 LA Radio

Maybe it is KSXS-LP 107.9. The transmitters is located in the NW corner of the San Fernando Valley on a hilltop near Chatsworth Peak.

Absolutely not possible. KWVE-FM 107.9 has great coverage of Los Angeles from their transmitter site on Santiago Peak. There are also LPFM stations on 107.,9 in Santa Clarita and Thousand Oaks.

KWVE is directional away from LA, and its 54 dbu barely touches LA County. It has no useful coverage of LA.

KWVE has great coverage in LA. Before KSXS-LP came on the air I could hear them all over the San Fernando Valley. They do cover LA like a local station.

In Glendale, at over 1000' AMSL facing south, I could not get it on any consumer grade receiver. That's because at that distance and with its extreme directionality away from the north, the signal is below 35 dbu. Most consumer home receivers need around 60 dbu to produce usable reception; the 60 dbu of that station ends right around Santa Ana and does not even extend at any point into LA county.

As I said, no "useful" coverage.
