Still wondering what has happened to KKDA-FM. Their rimshot sister KRNB is getting better share, although KKDA-FM has better cume. I haven't listened extensively during recent DFW visits, but it seems that KRNB is more like what KKDA-FM used to be...and the audience has moved that way.
I'm not sure if the election had an affect on WBAP's numbers or what. I'm baffled on K104's numbers. I don't believe any of their staff were affected by the pandemic. As far as I know, they still have a full staff, and haven't changed anything. KBFB on the other hand, is not the same station it was before the pandemic. Many staff members were let go, it just doesn't sound the same. I've basically stopped listening to the station. For me personally, I've always preferred KZMJ over KRNB. KRNB has always sounded very boring and the playlist is very limited, but obviously, that's just my two cents...
Rudy Rush and Michael Sean got their heads lopped off. Maybe KRNB's uptick has to do with adding in the streaming numbers. I wonder how many folk listen to that station via their stream instead of OTA.
I just wonder how well would a full signal Urban AC do here?
Quite well....Remember KRBV (V100). It was blowing and going until the tower fell in October 1996. It was off the air for 2-3 weeks.
