2 Kansas City LPFMs now off the air

KCPZ 95.3 and KPPZ 98.5 are now off the air completely.
Below are the stations' websites.

Anyone know what happened? In the case of 95.3 their stream is still going. However 98.5's stream is currently not working.

who cares? no one but you. you post about stations all over the kc metro along with all over texas that no one talks about... you rarely get replies to your various threads and often end up posting multiple replies to yourself

Apparently they were just performing maintenance, or there was a power outage. Both are back on.

At some point, all broadcasting facilities will have tech issues or a breakdown. When it happens, just report it to the station itself and they'll check into it.

There could be a variety of issues.

Maintenance is not generally done in the 6 AM to Midnight hours.
Nearly all stations have both USP and generators. Power outage unlikely.

Some real reasons for being off:

STL failed and no backup (if the link uses some form of Internet connection, a failure at the ISP can do it). Many stations have a backup microwave or other class of service.
Emergency evacuation of building (Fire or other threat with power cut)
Critical situation at the antenna site such as a need for a rigger to climb a tower for an emergency, requiring RF shutdown)
Human error: automation system not programmed to fill, or failure to load program logs.
Landing of a UFO at the transmitter site and seizure of the equipment for examination by extraterrestrials.
