https://radioinsight.com/headlines/198712/iheartmedia-converts-many-covid-furloughs-into-layoffs/ Some of those furloughed by iHeart in March were brought back. Some may still return. And an unnamed number have been laid off... Morgan? We don't know.
It has been noted Morgan White Jr's picture and name are removed from the schedule page of WBZ newsradio's website. However a search still turns up this:

Via facebook:"Morgan is about to be on Nightside with Dan Rea tonite @10 pm."
Morgan White Jr on WBZ radio right now on Dan Rea show. "I am technically unemployed..I am on hiatus..." He says as far as he knows he will be back when this is all over. Making first public appearance since Covid began
Doing an appearance in an outdoor tent tomorrow night
Appearing now on WBZ with fill in Jordan Rich--and via a tweet--Morgan White Jr has announced he is returning to the station on Saturday nights.
Starts a week from Sat. with guest Mel Simons.
2021 is going to need a lot of info about flu shots and we probably won't be hearing any of it in the overnight unless it's in a news block played every 15mins.
How would the info during overnight be different from the info during the day? They're not dispensing shots over night. Just during the day.
I think QED's point was that, regrettably, WBZ is not going to be doing live/local overnight talk as they did in the past.
My point is: for practical purposes, it won't matter.
And it won't come back unless the advertising outlook for radio gets a lot better. Not just back to pre-COVID levels, but back to 1980s levels when most stations were live overnight.
1980s???
'BZ was doing live/local overnight talk until earlier this year when Bradley Jay was let go.
And WBZ 1030 is a broadcasting institution; it's not "most stations".
