Speaking of BEN fm's increase Does anyone think that WOGL's audience just flocked 95.7

His debt situation is very different from Beasley's.Isn't my Landsman trying this again in the LA market on K---surf.
Effectively no one listens to or cares an iota about the HD2. The idea that it’s been sitting there being paid no attention to means it somehow would be a logical choice for the main signal makes zero business sense whatsoever. And what some random old man does with a toy he owns that happens to be a radio station doesn’t change that reality. They could put the Classical Format which has been running over 10 years on the HD2 on the main signal. Cheap to run, loyal, stable audience, must do well for it to be the longest sub in the market with no change. Isn't my Landsman trying this again in the LA market on K---surf.
They just hired a new AM host, and hold the radio broadcast rights to the Flyers and Sixers. I don't see the Fanatic going anywhere. What will Beasely do to WPEN adult top 40? the station is far behind WIP
And in LA on KUSC's big Mount Harvard FM signal, which makes Saul's move on 1260 all the more puzzling. His debt situation is very different from Beasley's.
Classical is already being done on WRTI.
He thinks all-digital gives him an edge. Classical listeners tend to be audiophiles. And in LA on KUSC's big Mount Harvard FM signal, which makes Saul's move on 1260 all the more puzzling.
WIOQ and WBEB are both doing okay but yeah your right. I just think a music format of some sort would be cheaper to run and doThey just hired a new AM host, and hold the radio broadcast rights to the Flyers and Sixers. I don't see the Fanatic going anywhere.
Plus, 97.5 tried AC/Hot AC (Remember the short lived Now 97.5?) Sure that was a decade+ ago. But in a pandemic era where WIOQ, WTDY, and WBEB are all showing not so hot numbers, I wouldn't want to throw my hat into that ring.

He'll still end up with a lower bitrate on all-digital AM (36 kbps is the max it can do, and it falls back to 20 kbps in weaker-signal areas) than KUSC has for its hybrid digital signal, which is doing either 48 or 64 kbps.He thinks all-digital gives him an edge. Defining them as “Ok” isn’t the same as there being room to split that audience further. And the B is already depressed from one-time heights—I’m not attributing one cause to that, but it’s not as if there isn’t another AC in town. (And there are two CHRs, so where is the space for anything adult/CHR oriented?)WIOQ and WBEB are both doing okay but yeah your right. WPST doesn't do to bad in the philadelphia book for an out of market radio stationDefining them as “Ok” isn’t the same as there being room to split that audience further. Now 97.5 had an awesome Christmas music playlist the one year that it lastedThey just hired a new AM host, and hold the radio broadcast rights to the Flyers and Sixers. I don't see the Fanatic going anywhere.

I'm not arguing that they're not a Philly station. I'm just stating that they do siphon off a not-insignificant number of listeners in the metro. They aren’t a Philly station. They don’t target the whole metro. Apples and watermelons.
