They preempted that for this?

The reason it was regional is because NFL Sunday Ticket has a guaranteed minimum amount of games they are to carry (per the contract). With games being moved around that number got below the threshold so the game had to be on NFL ST and regionalized (as if it was played on Sunday).

There were a couple weeks where there was a nationally televised late game (GB/TB week 6 and KC/TB week 12) but one market got blacked out of it (Miami week 6 and Denver week 12) so NFL ST could count those games too.
That's correct. If it wasn't DTV would want a rebate.

Uhh...How about the fact that the Washington football Team is about as interesting TO WATCH as ITS NAME IS TO EXIST as a franchise name (ESPECIALLY in a town with a history of SENATORS as a suitable team name)??

The fact that Pittsburgh is undefeated is irrelevant

Besides, it teaches ALL 32 TEAMS a lesson & sends them a message - IF YOU TAKE THE COVID-19 PROTOCOLS SERIOUSLY - We WOULD NOT have to reshuffle the schedule & RISK ANGERING THE FANS (Insert Devil emoji here :D)
Pittsburgh is not undefeated.

In Connecticut Jeopardy and Wheel on WTNH and The Best of Judge Judy on sister station WCTX were pre-empted on Wednesday for a Covid Town Hall Meeting about distribution of the Covid vaccine.

By the way Nexstar has completely neutered WCTX. A large portion of their broadcast day is WTNH News.

4AM-7AM News: Good Morning Connecticut simulcast from WTNH
7AM-8AM News: Good Morning Connecticut
9AM-10AM News: News 8 at 9 simulcast from WTNH
8PM-11PM News: News 8 at 8, 9, and 10.
11PM-11:35PM News: News 8 at 11 simulcast from WTNH.

The programming from My Network TV now airs 11:35PM-1:35AM. They also rebranded WCTX from "MY TV 9" to "WCTX-TV".

It should have never been branded as My TV 9 to begin with. It channel 59. Sure it ended up on channel 9 on cable systems but it was never legally channel 9.

KNSD, an O&O in San Diego, brands itself NBC 7 San Diego despite broadcasting on virtual channel 39. While the station's channel position is 7 on cable, it's 39 on satellite providers. NBC had tried shuffling channel numbers in the Bay Area after acquiring KNTV in San Jose. After an unsuccessful attempt to brand virtual channel 11 as NBC 3, the network settled on NBC Bay Area.

What was their analog number?

Another example is WWSB (virtual channel 40) in Sarasota, Florida. Owing to its network affiliation and cable channel position, the station brands itself as ABC 7 using a variant of the ABC O&O Circle 7 logo.

Channel 55 in Charlotte is My TV 12 and often found at channel 12 on cable. Due to repacking it's a .2 channel of Channel 46. I'm using .2 not as the specific subchannel but just a general term.

Funny he should object to the "de-59ing" of WCTX when WVIT, in the same market, mentions neither cable position (4 on most systems) or traditional channel number (30), choosing the branding of "NBC Connecticut."
WTIC had to go back to being called Fox 61 after people complained. They are on channel 6 on cable providers.

A local station can BRAND itself as ANYTHING it wants. It's the LEGAL ID that matters the most to the FCC
