As Scott has pointed out, everything about that translator is just rumor and speculation at this point. It is not approved, it is not allowed yet (if ever) to move to the ESB.maybe new 107.9

"Soon we will be announcing a new way you can hear Family Radio in the NYC area."
Sounds like they're preparing their audience for changes.
WNBM?"Soon we will be announcing a new way you can hear Family Radio in the NYC area."
Isaiah 55:1-13 "The man lived, and learned that salvation is not to be bought with money."There's a lot they can do with $50 million.
Just discovered this: FCCdata.org - powered by REC
I don’t think they ever built this out. They've owned and operated that translator since 2018. I think there's something else closer to NYC that they're about to buy.
I see it now in small print: CP Granted-Off AirI don’t think they ever built this out.
Hmm maybe 103.9 or 106.3 in Long Island city. They've owned and operated that translator since 2018. I think there's something else closer to NYC that they're about to buy.
I believe the Lyndhurst location for 94.7 will be on one of WOR's towers.Yep, I mentioned it because that was Family Radio's previous location, and Entercom will likely leave it when they move to Lyndhurst (unless it's retained for backup). That's some pretty valuable land in West Orange (although I think they share the site with Channel 68).
In snooping around, I noticed that Radio-Locator has updated their WNSH transmitter location to be in Lyndhurst. I haven't seen any formal announcement of that change yet. We know a CP exists for making the move. The co-ordinates for Wikipedia are still in West Orange.
I think what attracted the logistics company that's purchasing the site as well as the other warehouses and supply depots is the proximity to La Guardia.I am just amazed... I panned around the area, and it seems that even an occasional tree is rare.
I guess they need loads of warehouses and supply depots to provide for all the people living in those 1,400-foot-high pencil-thin condos in Manhattan that cost more than I have made in my entire lifetime!
I don't know what rebuilding or finding a station with which to diplex would involve in terms of cost, but buying 1190 does seem like a viable option. The station is rumored to be for sale.Likely the cost of buying 1190 is greater than the cost of rebuilding 1560.
Good point. Sounds like iHeart overpaid to me.WWRL, with an inferior signal, sold for $8.5 million. So perhaps WLIB could cost around $10 million?
WWRL Sale to IHeart Radio: Price iHeart Paid To Air Black Information Network In New York: $8.5M.
WWRL is dark right now. Does anyone know why? The Black Information Network can still be heard at 105.1 HD3
I read recently that WWRL lost a tower ( of the 4 they have ) in a recent storm they had go thru area, because of this they were operating at reduced power day & night non-DA. Maybe the new owners felt it be better to take it off the air, while the new replacement tower goes up ? Just a thought ?WWRL is dark right now. Does anyone know why? The Black Information Network can still be heard at 105.1 HD3
Yes, it's possible but hard to say. A lot of stations have come on since 1955.1560 went to 50KW in 1955 before that they were 10KW. I know they protect stations on 1550 and 1570 but why could they not go 10 KW fulltime from one Tower? Possibly WABC?
