Gospel Highway 11 blasting away at night...

I don’t even know the call letters. But it’s supposed to be a daytimer. It’s 1030 pm . And I want to listen to WBT at those hours But I hear screaming voices . It’s awful . What the hell is going on ? It’s weak but it’s there. WBT can’t get through it . Both at 1110 am . This is bs, lol.
Dave

I noticed all the new religious formats popping up all over are Gospel, I mean how much screaming can one take...

Not to belabor this, but 2 weeks ago , at 4am, there they were blasting away. And on consecutive nights since I couldn’t sleep, I turn the radio on and and they’re still on at that hour. And the signal is loud . even pushing out 1100.
I dunno. Doesn’t this stuff get reported ? Not that I care .

It looks like they carry Levin followed by Coast To Coast. May I suggest finding one of the other dozens of stations that carry these shows or better yet pull it off a stream to listen? It is syndicated programming.

Has it ever been determined what station this screaming "Gospel" daytimer was? And doesn't "Gospel" as a radio format refer to a music format featuring songs of praise by African American singers, groups and choirs, with "Southern Gospel" referring to the format that includes white artists singing Christian-themed songs in a country-influenced style? A preaching station would properly be classified as "Religious," right, or is there a more specific format term?

Judging from what I read regarding that, 4 /5 am are not included.
CTL: I have stumbled upon their newscasts. They are way over there on the left.

Critical hours is sunrise to 2 hours after and 2 hours before sunset to actual sunset.

What he was implying is that they are licensed for 4800 W 3 tower days and 500 watts non directional during critical hours and it would appear like they were using the critical hours license overnight

Midnight to 6 AM is the "experimental period", Daytimers can use day pattern for equipment testing, maintenance and so forth.

Maybe that's what they were doing. Commercials aren't allowed, though.

thats typically frowned upon if you do it regularly and continually.
