Holiday Ratings

Nice increase for WFMT! Big loss for WLS-FM.

Obviously no connection.
A 2.9 is pretty bad for a Classic Hits station in a major market. I stream WLS-FM 94.7 from time to time, and I think they sound musically about the same as Detroit’s WOMC.

Holiday Ratings really don't reflect the true listening audience. The next rating period provides a more realistic number. However, congratulations to WLIT and the personalities that scored 1st place

I wonder if they did their annual playing of Handel's Messiah on WFMT. Always a holiday favorite.
Are there any classical stations that don't play it on Christmas Eve or Day? All three I receive here in my part of Connecticut (WFCR, WSHU, WMNR) did, as did Symphony Hall on SiriusXM.

They're still listing 104.3 as "Oldies". Wish that was still true.
Remember, neither the stations nor Nielsen gives the various websites and newsletters that publish ratings a description or name for the format of each station. It is the publishers of the websites that do that. That's why from one site to another, you will see slightly different names or terms for some formats and many stations.
