Hey Google. Play WSB News Update.

I am so happy I found this command. WSB 95.5 posts a podcast of the top of the hour news somewhere. I give that command to Google and it plays the first seven minutes of the hour. Once in awhile it cuts of the news (usually the 6:00 hour) because they run long.

I have been finding myself punching over to WSB to hear the news and then going back to another station. Now, I just ask Google to play it for me.

If you are a network news junkie like me, here is another command:
Play ABC News Update
I always love listing to the top of the hour network news. I have not figured out the command to play the CBS top of the hour news as Google always wants to open my CBS All Access app.
 
Great tip! I'm using it to play ABC News from the top of the hour. Let the stream continue it's the audio of the latest World News Tonight
 
When I say Play ABC News Update I get the top of the hour ABC Radio Network News. Hmmmm. I love finding new commands so I can get the specific stuff.
 
I've set it up within Google so that when I say to play news, it starts with NPR, then goes to ABC, then to AP. I put CNN in there, but it's worthless, usually MANY hours old and pretty horrible delivery.
 
Too bad we can't say, "Play WSB actual news". Depending on which newscaster is on the air, you can get straight news or conspiracy theory news.

Agreed. I started this thread because this command lets me listen to just the top of the hour newscast on demand without having to listen to the political stuff.
