As long as Entercom clings to their national brand of faux-alternative, KVIL, with over a dozen of other stations, will float along with their 1 and low- 2 shares.

IMO, it's not a good look when a heritage frequency like 103.7, is performing lower than Hot 93.3 of all stations, but that's just me...

Oh, idk because KXT plays real alternative (indie bands and classic alternative minus the grunge stuff) and NOT Eminem and that "Mood" song that's always playing on Kiss FM?! Also live DJs and NOT the chatty boxes from Kansas City thinking they're The Russ Martin Show.

It's even more sad when rimshot stations like KBOC and KZZA is doing better. But yeah give them credit, they are still doing better than KLIF-AM.

Guess blowing up The Edge back in 2016 was a good move for iHeart as Star is #2.

Both KBOC and KZZA are "home" to the market, so what they are is not the classic "just outside the market" true rimshot but, really, suburban stations at a corner or edge of the market. They do OK because over 30% of the Metro Survey Area is Hispanic; both of those stations look considerably better in 18-34 than they do in 6+ and 12+.

This is a good example of why evaluating stations based on 6+ is a terrible idea.

I’d love to see Entercom succeed with alternative in DFW but with an approach more customized to area, like the 90s. Maybe a 90s-centric alternative station would work better at this point.
