MyFM 101.3 has flipped to country

As of this morning, WMRC 1490/101.3 has flipped to country. I hoped it was an April Fool joke, but it doesn’t sound like it. Does this make any sense?? We already have enough country stations.

Reminds of back in 1999 when 93,7 was stunting. They were stunting by playing the Prince tune of the same name along with the message "Want to know what is going to happen with 93.7? Tune in at 3:00PM to find out!" I was really kind of hoping that at 3:00PM, they would say April Fools! Anyway, just saying...

Could be April Fools...
One year WILD ditched legendary soul format for
country, at least for a few hours.
Another time on April Fools Day a WFNX jock said he wouldn't be doing April Fools' bits then added "we'll be back with the great new song by
The Beatles".It was before The Beatles Anthology
put out the songs Free as a Bird and Real Love, based on John Lennon demos fleshed out by
his bandmates.

Not that anyone cares, but the scores of stations that have branded themselves as "My" through the years have been a joke. Those stations aren't "mine," they belong to someone else.

I recall 95.5 WBRU doing an April Fools Flip back in 2006 to "Buddy FM."
