Meredith would be an 11% ownership cap hit, so that narrows the candidates quite a bit. We can rule out Sinclair, Nexstar, TEGNA, ViacomCBS, Fox, and probably a couple others.

Gray, Scripps, or Apollo/Cox would be my leading candidates.

EW Scripps? That might be off the list too due to the recent Ion deal. Gray they have the pending Quincy deal. Allen Media and Standard Media maybe though.

Turns out Gray is buying Meredith the owners of WGCL-TV and WPCH-TV Atlanta. There was discussions of Gray Television building a Studio City in the Atlanta area prior to the Meredith talks but now if this proposed Atlanta TV studio were to be built then WGCL-TV and WPCH-TV will move to this new office in Studio City.
