Looks like 96.1 continues to drop and 95.1 is the stronger CHR. Perhaps iHeart should consider changes at 96.1. They have gone from similar formats 96.1 the Beat, Channel 96.1, and now Hits 96.1. Perhaps the hit music format has finally played out there. Does Charlotte really need 2 hit music stations? Although I will say the audio quality is superior on 96.1, as it sounds excellent. Especially since 95.1 continues that annoying habit of speeding up the music as they have done for years.

With Ace and TJ being based at 96.1, not sure they will make any changes in the format, they also have Woody and Wilcox based at 106.5 and John Boy and Billy at 99.7 all in the same building. I would not be surprised to see Bob and Sheri end up at 102.9.

I would also like to see Bob and Sheri end up at 102.9. But in western Spartanburg County and going into Greenville there is now interference from a translator signal that also transmits on 102.9, so the station from Charlotte does not reach quite as far into the Upstate as it used to. I am tired of all these translator signals interfering with fringe reception of full power stations. 107.9 from Charlotte has also been affected in Greenville, Hendersonville, Columbia, and near Greensboro.

Although I agree with you, 96.1 is actually up this month. You do realize the most recent number is the one on the right?

I have previously said in WLNK is going to make a real format change, that leaves a need for an AC leaning toward current hits.

It used to be more fun going around the dial before all these translators.

Yes used o be excellent fringe reception of full power stations. I remember pulling in 95.1, 96.1, and 107.9 in Johnson City, Tennessee and on parts of I-40/81 near Knoxville and I-81 in Virginia. Now all these translators everywhere tend to mess up and interfere.
