WNPV AM 1440 Should be streamed 24/7

Hi Everyone. Why is WNPV airing 5 year old Darrell Berger shows on their internet stream? This is a total waste. Since WNPV's am 1440 transmitting signal is so bad, and they are airing such a great 60's & 70's music format, they should be simulcasting their am 1440 signal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on their website. Are they looking into getting the daytime wattage at least up to 1,000 watts?

I’ve been enjoying the music, too. But I believe this is more a matter of testing than it is a format. I am led to believe this because there are no promos, underwriting announcements, and other program elements: just segued music and hourly legal id’s.

if they streamed that music they would be required to pay streaming royalties. It’s not worth it if they are just using as a “place holder.” The clock was ticking to get something on the air by May 1 or the license would have been deleted by the FCC for being dark for one year.

A stunt format perhaps?

They have a construction permit for 2.5 kW days from a tower site in Montgomery County.
