Rewind TV

Here's the press release from Nexstar...

Like the poster above me, I think this will very likely replace Court TV on those ex-Tribune Nexstar stations (in .3 slots), especially since Court TV has already migrated over to the Ion O&Os (as well as other Scripps-owned stations) in the same common markets. I remember reading several years ago, perhaps on here, that Tribune had planned for an ATV spinoff channel, and now it's finally coming to fruition.

From what I remember, the proposed channel was going to be called "Antenna TV Classics" & was going to focus on TV shows from the 1950's to 1970's. What is going to happen with Antenna TV & Rewind TV is the reverse of the original plan.

Me TV has most of the best shows from the 50's to the 70's now. I hardly watch anything from Antenna TV now.

Movies may be returning to Antenna, this time in themed show form (pure rumor)
Actually, it's replacing Court TV on most Nexstar stations because Scripps owns Court TV and it's due to Court TV being on Ion stations.

Here are some stations that are more likely to drop Court TV and be replaced by Rewind TV come this fall...
New York City: WPIX (11.3)
Los Angeles: KTLA (5.3)
Chicago: WGN (9.3)
Philadelphia: WPHL (17.3)
Dallas: KDAF (33.3)
Houston: KIAH (39.5)
San Francisco: KRON (4.3)
Sacramento: KTXL (40.3)
Tampa: WFLA (8.2)
Denver: KWGN (2.2)
St. Louis: KPLR (11.2)
Portland, OR: KRCW (32.3)
Indianapolis: WXIN (59.3)
Salt Lake City: KUCW (30.4)
Raleigh/Durham: WNCN (17.2)
Kansas City: WDAF (4.3)
Birmingham: WIAT (42.4)
Oklahoma City: KAUT (43.2)
Greensboro: WGHP (8.3)
Buffalo: WIVB (4.2)
Honolulu: KHON (2.4)
Florence/Huntsville: WHDF (15.2)
Savannah: WSAV (3.3)

I'm not sure what's going to happen in either Mobile AL, Fresno CA, San Diego CA Davenport IA New Orleans LA Jackson MS Billings MT Columbus OH or Lubbock TX

Okay, what you're trying to tell me is that come September 1, one station in Springfield, MO is launching a new diginet on a new subchannel, while in 23 other markets I mentioned, that new diginet is likely to replace Court TV.

We'll never see this subchannel in Yakima. Maybe in 2025. We were so far behind in getting H&I and we STILL do not have an Antenna TV subchannel...seriously?

I see that, but in November 2019, Yakima's ABC affiliate KAPP added Heroes & Icons on it's third digital subchannel.
