WBOM Translator Live @ 102.5 MHz

Another translator broadcasting The Talk of Connecticut on 102.5 is up as of May 12th, 2021 which appears to be coming from Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington, CT relaying WBOM AM 1470 in Meriden, CT. Got mine 15 miles away which seems to be clearer than 103.3 MHz translator from downtown Hartford, CT. Signal strength is like WJMJ more or less but still have dead spots due to the mountain in Meriden blocking many Hartford stations generally especially television stations from the same spot as such translator and even WBAZ from the Hamptons, NY still wipes out the translator regularly at certain parts of the house and some neighborhoods in the town. Anyone else got the signal from that translator in the Hartford-Meriden area?

When did it become WBOM-AM? I thought of the Bomba station with those call letters!

I just checked 102.5 FM by the Lowe's store on CT Route 372 in Cromwell. Was getting a so-so, but listenable, signal. There was almost nothing on 103.3 FM. It was indeed the Hartford translator, as it matched what was on 102.5 FM.

102.5 is coming in crystal clear at my house in Southington. Perfect. No more having to listen to staticy AM 1470 to listen to Rob Ray's Oldies Show on Saturday/Sundays.
Can't believe AM 1470 is the strongest AM signal for me since it's only 5-6 miles away near the rest of the FM stations on the West Peak in Meriden. It's good that this translator is coming in well for you. I still stick to its original AM signal because it's still crystal clear all the time for me unless AM signals must go off the air soon.

WMMW-AM changed to WBOM-AM just last year in 2020. Never thought 103.3 from Hartford is hard to get when I still recieved it 20 miles away as a faint but listenable signal indoors but at least the translator 102.5 boosted the reception on your end big time. Sadly for me, local AM signals including AM 1470 is still far more reliable than its translators due to its power limits and interference in both adjacent and co-channel.

1470 is barely on the air. Someone elsewhere posted about a signal problem on Sunday. When I drove by on I-691 yesterday, the station sounded like it had only three watts. It's been a horribly hot summer, especially late last week, so the antenna system or transmitter problem could be weather related. The 102.5 translator is still on from Rattlesnake Mt.
