Last week I was flipping channels in the car and came across Howie's show during an ad break. He was doing this read for something like a 'mineral oil' (forget what it was called) but as he read the ad he listed out all of the benefits, more energy, vigor, reduction of inflammation, basically rolling back time cure all. Even coming from Howie I was still surprised, and the first thing I thought of was "snake oil salesman".
I guess for Howie the only thing that matters is collecting a check, but deep down that's gotta feel shitty peddling this nonsense to his audience.

Probably a product called Balance 7. Ironic, because he goes on about how he takes it daily and it gives him more energy and clarity of mind and yet he can't even give out the right call in number, amazing.

No, he wasn't. They played America's First News into the 7 oclock hour, at which time, I turned the radio off for the day.
Yeah that must've been it. In the ad spot he talked about how he was a daily user and it's "changed my life!".

LOL, changed his life alright. He stammers and stutters and can't even remember his own call in number! Superior product!
Should be interesting to see if he ever comes back to media, or if he chooses a more anonymous life. Moved up the ladder pretty quickly and comes off as an intelligent person. I still wonder if it was a good career move to jump to that disjointed podcast.
If Howie were smooth and perfect, I probably wouldn't tune in. But I do agree that he is a mouthpiece for his advertisers.
Between him and Grace, he is definitely the more intelligent of the two.
However, maybe he saw the writing on the wall with Grace getting her own show and decided to bail given his career advancement was going to be non-existent at the HCRN. T&A still works on old-school boys like Howie.
Perhaps the reason he's bailing from the podcast is he sees the writing on the wall there... Look at Britney, for example, on Kuhner's show I wonder how many (Executive) Producers have had to make career changes with the shift in work due to COVID

Last week Crazy Kunah did an entire hour on John Cena's apology to China for referring to Taiwan as a country. He spent the first 15 minutes explaining who Cena was complete with the spelling of his last name C E N A and the fact the his son Ashton loves him. About 45 minutes into the segment he added " I did not know this I am getting text messages telling me that John Cena is from Newbury MA. One would think if you planned on doing entire hour one one person you may look at the John Cena Wikipedia page or similar bio site.
to answer an above question, Dana Marshall left on her own, she has grandchildren now and wants to have some time for the important things in life. Carolyn Morrell comes off the beach (RIF'd due to COVID budget issues) and slides into AM drive.
Someone mentioned above Steve Robinson and 100K..... do you have a source for that number? There are long time on air people in this market that don't make that. I was having a conversation with someone now out of the business, who was working for a top 5 station in this market and they disclosed what they were offered her per hour and it was an insult.

and speaking of morning show producers, WZLX goes thru them quickly, considering the cast of the morning show there has been in place for a long time, a producer there has a very short shelf life.

Years ago when GOONer was moved to the noon to three slot (2012??) he spent some time on his last 6a to10a show telling his audience about how wonderful it was going to be and how he'd have plenty of time to do show prep. He actually threw 'the bambinos" (his kids) under the bus and blamed them for him not being able to do show prep for the 6 to 10 show. He PROMISED his audience he would be 100% prepared. He also said that he was told if his ratings were up by the end of December (this was July) he'd be going national baaayyyyybeeeeee. It's now 2021 and my understanding is he has still not gone national. Anyway, I listened to him for about 2 or 3 weeks when he was in the noon slot and he still proved that he was not doing show prep, so it does not surprise me that he spent an hour being a drama queen and didn't bother to totally investigate the person in question. I had to stop listening to him for multiple reasons, among them being him acting like a drama queen, the stupid voices, the not being prepared, the constant ending words with inc such as I'm goinc to the store, I'm thinkinc of goinc to the store and....his constant whining that he needed another hour.
His recent promo for his show had him wishing everyone a "happy" memorial day weekend and telling our troops and veterans "may God bless" and "thank you for your service". No mention of the heroes who gave their lives so he could say stupid crap.
