Bet the Connecticut stations left those Long Island cable systems soon after due to SYNDEX.

My mother had Frontier in Berlin, CT a few years ago. Oddly, she received all the New York City VHF stations in the clear and in HD! She even had one of the New Jersey PBS stations, too! (I was able to watch Super Bowl LI via WNYW in its entirety.)
