Solid signal from K269GT at my Cy-Fair location, with very clean audio. Doesn’t bother first adjacent KOER on the radios I checked. Must have just hit the air, wasn’t there a few days ago.

The new translator has an expanded coverage area in this part of the metro over the frequency’s previous occupant, the short-lived KVGK-LP. KNTE was pretty much useless here; also could occasionally catch very spotty signals from KQEU-LP.

According to FCCDATA.org K269GT filled to have a minor modification on 07/30/21 which will have more coverage inside the loop.
It also shows PRIMARY STATION KHPT

But it also says they’re broadcasting on KBXX.

Minor modification =/= License to cover.

There are no modifications. The station will continue it's directional pattern that throws the signal into the ghetto greater Aldine district and surrounding areas.

The license to cover was granted on the 30th of July, the modification was granted in 2020.

That's Barix Radio], the default stream for Barix boxes, which are the Internet streaming devices many stations use to feed their transmitters' audio. Something was reset. LOL how about the translator?

No, you're wrong last I knew. Barix's test channel/default stream says "Barix, Audio Over IP"

I've heard it on a non comm FM they use as an overnight/sustaining audio service

I've heard that but I've also heard the Customized Radio message Mr. Tejano mentioned.

In any case, if they are using an IP stream of a radio station from somewhere else they are originating programming for a translator rather than rebroadcasting a local station. That’s never happened before in Houston. 🤣

At the very least at least they have an HD station which is really rare for the Houston translators

DMD2 and Barix arent related, they just both happen to be in switzerland.

Not sure about that RadioGuy, I remember Barix using the DMD2 message on it's radio station before. But that was years ago. Wonder if KHPT HD3 still plays that mixture of music in English.

Looks like they’re covering from their new Modification. Sounds way better inside the loop than before.
