TV Show Cancellation Thread (including ending ones)

let me guess, it ended what turned out to be it's final season with a cliffhanger. series getting canceled after cliffhanger season finales happen all the time on TV.
That's part of it. I don't know if Grace is dead. But it would be pretty hard to survive. Also, they have never solved the central mystery.

There might be a chance to get “Manifest” back in the air…

Not this way. There are too many streaming services and how many people can pay for all of them? Or any?

More pink slips, this time from Netflix…
wouldn't be surprised if in the next 5 years Netflix files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy cause they keep signing things left and right and keep losing money on these shows that only half of the intended views will watch. and now with the streaming bubble seeing more and more competition, i wouldn't be surprise if the bubble burst for Netflix first, before the rest does bust.

Netflix is not going bankrupt in 5 years. Not even close. Since the dawn of television, networks and syndicators have cancelled shows every single year and they didn’t sink the business. There are more misses than hits. So it goes.

Since network radio began over 90 years ago, a large percentage of new shows have failed and, thus, been replaced.

TV was the same. If you look at the lists of one season shows, it's amazingly long and filled with one and two year runs..

Why would Netflix be any different? They do lots of original content, and hope for some big hits, some ones good for 3 or 4 seasons and then they cancel the ones that either fail on launch or decline a lot for the second season.

That is all part of their budgeting process.
