Wow, basically nothing. Looks like they've decided to hold back any good programming for their Peacock streaming platform and probably put it on the pay tier. Sad.

How times have changed in 25 years since Must See TV sitcoms used to be on about three different nights and Dateline for about the same number of nights.

Law and Order For The Defense officially cancelled at NBC and not moving forward. The Blacklist will replace it on Thursday nights

after the Olympics, and also wrapping it's run up as well cause the creators can't continue the show with the change in the way people view law enforcement in the US in the wake of George Floyd's death one year ago.
I'm not sure it was because of George Floyd, as B99 always did a good job tackling those issues. I think it has more to do with NBC really struggling in the Comedy department (for years now, actually) and B99 not being strong enough to carry a comedy night. It's very telling that NBC has so little confidence in Comedy that it won't be launching, ANY comedies this fall, especially since they have the Olympics as a lead in to promote their fall lineup.

Only NBC knows the real reason, but if they cancelled it for that reason, I don't see why they would even make a final season, let alone choose to air it on NBC instead of moving it to Peacock. Without a comedy night, I'm thinking they cancelled it because it no longer made financial sense to keep making it. IIRC the announcement of the final season came out in February, right around the time they cancelled their other "big" comedy (that actually had more viewers than B99).
