Regardless of what iheart does to 95.7 they will never be able to overthrough Mix 100 or Alice 105.9
They’re also not gonna overthrow KS107.5 either.Regardless of what iheart does to 95.7 they will never be able to overthrough Mix 100 or Alice 105.9
Yep.Anyone else feel that the Britney radio stunt was tasteless? The poor woman is fighting for control over her life and they do this? ☹
What if the alice talent went to the 957 the party?Regardless of what iheart does to 95.7 they will never be able to overthrough Mix 100 or Alice 105.9
I think your being a little dramatic to be honest if anything they are supporting her by doing the stunting using her music because she will be getting payed royalties for all of her music getting spinned.Anyone else feel that the Britney radio stunt was tasteless? The poor woman is fighting for control over her life and they do this? ☹
Has any other company done CHR in Denver successfully other than iHM and the company that owns 107.1?
It would be in ihearts best intrest to abandon the format. And i don't think that is happening. I also think Mix 100 and Alice playlists are more adult basedWhat if the alice talent went to the 957 the party?
The Hot AC chart and the Top 40/Mainstream chart are more similar now than I have ever seen them. Both Mix and Alice's imaging and presentation is a little different than The Party but most of the currents are the same. The "adult based" approach you refer to seems to do better in Denver for whatever reason. There are not many markets that have two or more Hot ACs, and both of them beating the CHR handily. It would be in ihearts best intrest to abandon the format. And i don't think that is happening. They are a limited coverage station, reaching just under 90,000 persons in its 70 dbu and 700,000 in the 65 dbu signal areas. KQJS reaches 2,800,000 persons in the same 65 dbu contour. In fact, KQKS reaches 2.75 million in its 70 dbu signal.107.1's ratings are completely dreadful; I don't understand why they stick with the format.
I wouldn’t flip it. Keep 95.7 as a female-targeted flanker/ad buy combo with The Bull. Besides, the formats you suggested would pull too much away from in house clustermates (namely The Fox and ‘BCO).If I was iHeart, I would just abandon the format and try something else. They have made some bad mistakes, and they're never going to beat Mix or Alice. Even if KFCO took most of the refugees, with KFCO's signal problems they would do no better than a 1.5 or a 2 share. I don't have many ideas on what KPTT might flip to, but even a classic hits or adult hits format would make them more money.
That other company is Max. And you’d have to go back prior to the mid 90s, when Malrite and ABC owned Y108. After that, mainstream CHR has been hard to work with in Denver (Kiss did OK, but KS and Alice kept them down, U102 had a poor signal and changed direction, and One FM/Hot already tried it one other time on the very same rimshot as it is now).Has any other company done CHR in Denver successfully other than iHM and the company that owns 107.1?
And Salt Lake doesn’t count?I never seen a radio market as repeatitive in formats as denver. 2 Classic Rockers 2 Countries 2 Hot AC's
No. It’s one of the most talked about topics among CHR’s core audience. Just like the documentary, might find a way to bring attention to what’s going on with her situation.Anyone else feel that the Britney radio stunt was tasteless? It’s not meant to be the #1 station overall in the market. The format is still CHR as part of simple cluster strategy by siphoning some ad revenue from Audacy and sell it in combo with The Bull.Regardless of what iheart does to 95.7 they will never be able to overthrough Mix 100 or Alice 105.9
What's going on with the Salt Lake City Radio Market? And Salt Lake doesn’t count?
4 CHRs, 3 country’s, 2 hard rockers, 3 classic hits, 2 FM news/talkers, and 5 airing some form of AC.What's going on with the Salt Lake City Radio Market?
