1490 WBCB now has an fm translator.

I don't know anymore info yet but I tuned the band today and heard the Phillies. It is indeed 1490 WBCB on 107.3 fm. Please pardon the lack of any other information.

It's odd but there's no mention of the translator on the WBCB website: wbcb1490.com

It also doesn't show on Radio-Locator.com in the Levittown, PA list of stations. Maybe it's so new, nobody has posted it on these sites?

Radio-Locator has many quirks, and among them is this: until a station is fully licensed, it doesn't appear in search results. Once W297CL's license is granted, likely in the next few days, it will appear on R-L.

(This is one of many reasons I use FCCdata.org instead.)

FccData.org has it's own quirks too but it may be more of a symptom of inaccurate FCC data within their own database as some coverage patterns are presented in a bizarre or inaccurate fashion in terms of contours. I think most recently this has been attempted to resolve with different blue/red contours noting FCC data vs filing data. I suppose nothing is a perfect science but I would concur its a much better resource than R-L.

I use both but as for fccdata's coverage maps, does CFZM really put a "blue circe" daytime signal into Fremont, Michigan (northwest of Grand Rapids)?

That translator will be frequently hit by tropo from 107.3 in Atlantic City. It booms in to Bucks county like a local many summer nights.

From my location in Bensalem, WPUR can be gotten like a local during the daytime with my outdoor antenna, so it doesn't need tropo at all. not here anyway. There are a metric tun of translators around here. I can get many of them. Gone are the days of WCHR-FM, WKMK, and I think WBBO can't be gotten anymore either. They were received like locals before the translators. I should actually check , WPUR may be gone now too with this WBCB translator. I was able to get it before, as a local, even though its clearly not a local. I was able to get WMGS at times before 92.9 was a translator to. WKRZ also, but not anymore I don't think. I can just bearly get Up town radio from Philly at 98.5 and that used to come in, now its a spanish thing and I can't null it away easily. I actually wonder if having two antennas an being able to put one at the translator and one at the signgal I want on a tuner such as the Onkio T-9090II would be an idea to consider, since its pretty quiet in stereo as I hear and has two antenna inputs.

So I need to correct myself here. All 3 98.5's can be gotten with ease during the daytime. 107.3 is WBCB's translator (though its in mono, isn't it?) WPUR comes in well too (though there EQ is very screwed up.) When the translator got moved in Bensalem from 107.9 to 97.1 WRDV, I was able to get WEBE (Westport, CT) during tropo as WeBe 108! now that was so cool!!! WKRF came in too.

I live in Levittown I listen to Wbcb on 107.3 FM last Night it is in Mono and it's very weak comes in very clear around Levittown near the Station. But one you get near Newtown which is not very far at all maybe a 10 minute drive it is mostly static.

Ah, I can get WBCB at 107.3 with my outdoor antenna but am sure it wouldn't come in on a regular radio with an indoor antenna here from my location in Bensalem, where I live.
I would be surprised if they don't upgrade the air chain and FM to stereo at some point.
Its early days yet!

I can't figure out how to search. on R-L, its easy. there are actual edit fields for calls, frequency , city of license etc. Maybe its because I'm using a screen reader? but FCCData.org is not at all something I can figure out how to use.

The FM translator is currently dead air. the online AM sound really bad, but has Stormy by Clasics IV playing right now. Hmmm. didn't think they had a live DJ on-air after 7? But he just introed ELO.Their audio signal online is low too.

It was back on today. still mono. and I figured out that on WBCB.com that's where the DJ was on I'm assuming you can't air phillys baseball on th online stream? Anyway I think he was voicetracked.

Stations can stream MLB now ... in the teams home market, as I understand.

I can stream the Phillies here on the Audacy app (WYSP). I cannot stream the Red Sox here on the same app (WEEI-FM).

I do stream out of market games on MLB app or SXM app. I also pay for that ability.

I've got to think fccdata.org would be very difficult to navigate with a screen reader. I have enough trouble with it otherwise.
