Another New Station is coming

They are saying that Starting August 1st the station 106.1 will convert to Spanish Christian Radio.

Hearing Spanish language Christian music on 106.1 today, but no announcements, so no idea who the new programmer is.
It seems like spamish-language nutty religious music on loop so far. I also noticed there has been a construction permit to gimp their coverage. Very odd.

"nutty religious music"
What's that mean? Emotional music, where the artists cry to Jesus and such?

@Mrtejano the post before mine. But never mind not important.

In any case the translator is owned by a group calling itself "FIRST EVANGELICAL CHURCH OF APOSTLES AND PROPHETS" in Spanish, so they'll most likely keep the Spanish Christian format if they're gonna run it themselves.

Some would say there’s plenty of that on the airwaves already. 🤣
Well I had explained why I perceive religious music as "nutty", but I guess the mods had other plans and laid down the law. I don't believe I said anything controversial and explained why I view most of these operations as self-serving scams.

As far as the translator, I'm assuming they made a playlist and hit shuffle. I didn't hear any IDs or sweeps when I listened on Sunday. As for a "parent" station, I guess they don't need the originating station to even be in Houston if their intention is to make this a "non"-profit operation.

sorry, Att has been acting strange lately. The previous response was not loaded.

Back to the subject, the translator now has programming. I tuned in and missed half of the announcement. But I caught the end of a female saying MÚSICA POSITIVA.
And a small add for IGLESIA UNIVERSAL (universal church). But I don’t think it was referring to the PARE DE SUFRIR church (STOP SUFFERING) . Which would be the slogan of that church.
