Latest "DX" was CJWW Saskatoon 600 earlier tonight with weather and a liner for "Saskatchewan's most listened to radio station". This reception is unusual in that I haven't heard these guys in months. Probably not since last year some time, when it's been mostly the Punjabi station in Vancouver BC and a little bit of KGEZ's oldies from time to time. CJWW used to be a nightly fixture on the channel.
Not sure if it means a change in conditions seasonally, or if it's just a fluke. I'm presently opting for the latter, as MW DX conditions were overall fair to poor. KFI barely readable. Only highlights are a few Canadian stations... CFFR 660 (always in), CKOR 800, etc. and a few of the NW mainstays (KBOI 670, KONA 610, etc.).
All heard tonight on my Realistic DX-375.
As an aside, CKOR Penticton is tweaking their playlist. They used to be mostly chick pop -- soft AC with pop from the early 2010s and a lot of the 90s-2000s hits that women seem to prefer. Five nights ago I heard "Highway To Hell" by AC/DC, and two nights ago I heard "Rock You Like A Hurricane" by the Scorpions. Earlier tonight I heard EMF's "Unbelievable", which would fit in with what they'd play a few years ago but still has rock guitar in it.
