New PD at The Bull

I know everyone here is very excited to hear that iHeart has filled the vacant PD slot at The Bull with a familiar name: Lance Houston:

So maybe this ends the rumors of iHeart flipping formats at the country station.

There was rumors? I didn't know!

Never even heard an inkling of a rumor of a flip. My understanding is that WBWL brings in revenue and takes listeners away from WKLB, which helps with WXKS-FM's numbers.

Maybe people are confusing the possible format flips over 20 years ago, with WKLB and WBCS instead? 😛 Remember when the later would pay someone $1,000,000 if they were the 9th caller if they changed formats that year?👻

Not new. He's been there before.

Lance will continue to be based in Atlanta, where he handles afternoon drive on 94-9 The Bull. Fifteen years ago, programming a Boston station from Atlanta would have questioned. These days, it's par for the course.
