Pirate in Lancaster city at 103.1?

I was driving in Lancaster city Sunday morning listening to warm 103.3. I kept hereing something cutting in. I channeled up to 103.1 and herd Hispanic Church music. Did somone get a low power license? As soon as I got on 283 it faded out.
 
I suppose it's possible they were using one of those (far too powerful to be legal) sketchy transmitters from Amazon to broadcast a church service. I wonder if it remained on after the typical church service time?
 
I mean, if they are broadcasting within 75 khz deviation limits I'd just let them go. If not, then that's your decision.
 
Many (most??) of those Chinese-made POS's use 50 microsecond pre-emphasis, and modding them to 75 is all but impossible, given the micro-tech circuit board construction!! Yeah, I tried to do a pre-emphasis R-C swap on one of these things a couple of years ago --- and finally gave up!!
If you want to use FM to broadcast a church service, etc. ---- just get a Ramsey, or even a "Talking House" (newer model) and keep your audience close!!!:) 250 uv @ 3 meters doesn't travel far!!

It is possibly to mod them to have no pre emphasis. That works great if your gonna feed the Transmitter MPX.
