Noticed WEGO AM 1410 is off the air today. I don't know about the FM translator.
The owner is Catawba College, last time I checked. Or are you saying he/she represents them?I checked today when I was in the area and WEGO is still off the air. The Translator was on the air....
I looked and it does not appear that they have informed the Commission that the AM is off the air. By rule the translator is supposed to be off. The owner is a lawyer. You would think he would want to obey the law.

Owner is Tort Lawyer Bill Graham. I don't think Catawba was ever really involved. Buddy Poole runs the stations. The owner is Catawba College, last time I checked. Or are you saying he/she represents them?

Again I do not believe Catawba College was actually ever involved. You need to speak to actual folks instead of believing press releases posted in the paper.![]()

I am in fact correct about this. Bill Graham represents Catawba, as I said.
Believe what you want, but those are multiple articles that said the same thing.Again I do not believe Catawba College was actually ever involved. You need to speak to actual folks instead of believing press releases posted in the paper.
I have heard, on the air, that the college would receive profits from the station and students would learn about broadcasting by working for the station. I may have heard news reports done by the students. I don't get up early enough to hear the morning show any more, though. Also, Catawba College used to be mentioned at the top of the hour, but it isn't mentioned any more. So maybe that relationship did end.Perhaps, as the article states, Mr. Graham has set up something with Catawba College, for the benefit of the college. However, in the FCC "Ownership Report there is only mention of "2B Productions LLC" in which Mr. Graham is Chairmen Of The Board and has 100% of the votes for said company. No mention at all in the FCC documents of Catawba College.
I meant to check on that. I changed a button in my car to the classic country station in Myrtle Beach and something was coming in really strong. I was going to find out what that was.I noticed while in the car today 1410 is back on the air.
