I guess the digital guy woke up. Liz Mantel is listed on the website with a picture too!
See how easy that was?

FYI, they're still posting on LinkedIn looking for local talent.
It could be for EOE as are a lot of publicly-available ads are.Didn't you say radio companies don't invest in local talent? I thought I saw that somewhere.

It's been up for over a month now and it still hasn't been filled. Sometimes they follow through. Sometimes they don't. A sticking point may be EOE concerns, especially in the year when WNY licenses are up for renewal.The difference is they actually follow through. If the job is posted, it usually gets filled by someone.

Mantel was hired by Audacy not Townsquare...The position they're hiring for was previously filled by the PD Chris Crowley, who is leaving at the end of the month. So they have lots of time to fill it. It took them two months to hire Liz Mantel.
TSQ posted for a "Director of Content" for Buffalo when Crowley left. They also have mid-days at WBUF posted. That one was first posted over a month ago. It was recently re-posted, probably when Crowley left.The position they're hiring for was previously filled by the PD Chris Crowley, who is leaving at the end of the month. The Wolf is going to need some new on-air folks and FAST;
What does that flip have to do with Buffalo? Country has always been a tough format in NYC. It’s actually surprising it lasted this long. But it doesn’t mean Audacy will abandon all Country formats, especially if it takes a bite out of its competitors.To update on #22: The Wolf is going to need some new on-air folks and FAST; per AllAccess.com, New York's WNSH(94.7)dropped country today at 12 noon and switched to classic hip-hop as 94.7 The Block. Staff only learned of the format change yesterday(10/21).
Concur. Audacy is not going to s/can this format anytime soon. It's barely taken its first steps. There's a lot more development and expansion to be done, and stolen shares to be gained. This having been acknowledged, after weeks of spot checking, the The Wolf is... tiresome. Some of this has to do with the nature of today's country music. Granted, the days of "Willie, Waylon and the Boys" are long gone, but what passes for country these days, with some exceptions, is blatantly re-cycled 70s rock, totally absent a fiddle and a steel guitar. And y'know... if you're gonna play in Texas (or Buffalo), y'gotta have a fiddle in the band.Plus keep in mind that 107.7 just went through a format change four months ago. They're not going to blow this station up again until they get some consistent numbers on it. That really hasn't happened yet.
Development & Expansion? They launched this format with no effort. It was surprising when they hired a morning person.Concur. Audacy is not going to s/can this format anytime soon. Which is? You constantly complain about formats, and when they change, you continue to complain. Just what format would you put on that signal? Or any signal? Just what format is going to bring in those new listeners that you say radio isn't serving? What will bring in enough of them to actually pay the bills, let alone make money?Very few will hear The Wolf's rabid howls and in a couple years Audacy will move on to the next "great" idea...
